Outsourced Services
Outsourced Services
The Outsourced Services Accreditation Program (OSAP) assesses your organization in areas such as privacy and confidentiality measures, level-of-service and escalation procedures, transaction response times, and systems availability. It also assesses the security infrastructure and data integrity measures including disaster recovery, business continuity, contingency plans, and intrusion detection and response. In the process of a thorough, objective evaluation, your organization will discover ways to improve efficiency, elevate quality of service, and keep up to date with current marketplace trends.
Accreditation criteria is established for:
- Accountable Care Organizations*
- Call Center
- Cloud Service Provider
- Data Center
- Disaster Recovery
- Health Information Exchange technology providers**
- Media Storage
- Network Administrator
- Printing
- Product Development
- Scanning
Our accreditation program prepares your organization for third party audits including HIPAA/HITECH compliance audits now being conducted by the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) on covered entities and business associates. It also reduces risk to PHI and operations through the demonstration of a risk management program with effective controls that appropriately minimize threats.
Once an Outsourced Services organization is accredited, other DirectTrust candidates who utilize that outsourcer will not have to pay for additional location reviews to that organization.

**We offer two accreditation programs related to Health Information Exchanges.
1.) The Health Information Exchanges Accreditation Program is designed for the exchanges themselves;
