Artificial Intelligence
As Artificial Intelligence (AI) continues to evolve and gain traction across the healthcare industry and beyond, organizations that handle health or other sensitive data must develop policies and procedures that establish trust in their AI systems. The DirectTrust AI Accreditation Program, created using the National Institute for Standards Technology (NIST) AI Risk Management Framework, helps organizations demonstrate their understanding of the risks associated with implementing AI, and highlights their commitment to maintaining a secure environment for data exchange.
DirectTrust Assessors will measure your organization’s policies, procedures, and controls against an industry-leading framework (NIST) to ensure full program compliance. This program focuses on understanding threats, requiring participants to understand how their data will be impacted by AI products and systems. The Foundational level encompasses two components of accreditation (Governing and Mapping). The Comprehensive level is geared towards more mature use cases and requires completion of all four components of accreditation (Governing, Mapping, Measuring, and Managing). Completion of the Comprehensive level is recommended for any Foundational level accredited organizations as a next step.
If your organization is beginning its AI journey or actively implementing AI and seeks to demonstrate trust in the secure use of AI, please reach out to learn more about achieving accreditation.
