Accreditation Fees

The DirectTrust Accreditation Fee Schedule may be changed at DirectTrust’s sole discretion. Once an Applicant executes and submits the Accreditation Package, the Accreditation Fee will not change.

HISP Accreditation Fees

The HISP Accreditation Fee is a fixed fee regardless of the Applicant’s Revenue.

Currently, the HISP Accreditation Fee is $4,500.00.

This Fee includes 20 Hours of Reviewer time to complete the Review. Any additional time required to complete the Review that is not attributable to delays caused by DirectTrust will be billed on a Time and Materials basis at a rate of $200.00 per hour.

CA/RA Accreditation Fees

Certificate Authority (CA) and Registration Authority Fees (RA) are based on an Applicant’s gross Revenue and are assessed in a revenue-based tiered structure.

Note:

The Fee for the CA Review includes 40 Hours of Reviewer Time to complete the Review. Any additional time required to complete the CA Review that is not attributable to delays caused by DirectTrust will be billed on a Time and Materials basis at a rate of $200.00 per hour.

The Fee for the RA Review includes 32 Hours of Reviewer Time to complete the Review. Any additional time required to complete the RA Review that is not attributable to delays caused by DirectTrust will be billed on a Time and Materials basis at a rate of $200.00 per hour.

The Fee for the RA Site Review includes 8 Hours of Reviewer Time per Site to complete the Review. Any additional time required to complete the RA Review that is not attributable to delays caused by DirectTrust will be billed on a Time and Materials basis at a rate of $200.00 per hour.

Any expenses incurred by the Reviewer associated with Travel to and from the RA Site location will be billed to the Applicant.

Cloud Service Provider Hosting Facility Accreditation Fees

For those Applicants that use a Cloud Service Provider (CSP), a separate appendix is provided in each Accreditation Questionnaire that contains Criteria that relate to the Cloud Service Provider environment.

DirectTrust assesses a flat fee of $1,000.00 per Cloud Service Provider instance.

The Fee for the Cloud Service Provider Hosting Review includes 2 Hours of Reviewer Time per Site to complete the Review. Any additional time required to complete the Cloud Service Provider Hosting Review that is not attributable to delays caused by DirectTrust will be billed on a Time and Materials basis at a rate of $200.00 per hour.

Additional Accreditation Fees

Additional Accreditation Fees are charged when an Applicant misses a deadline for completing work according to the Accreditation Program deliverables schedule or the submission is not in good order.

Application Submission Late Fees

Application Late Fees are charged when an Applicant misses a deadline for submitting an Accreditation Application according to the Accreditation Program deliverables schedule.

Application Accreditation Late Fees are assessed each month at $1,500.00 per month.

Self Attestation Questionnaire and Evidence Late Fees

Self Attestation Questionnaire and Evidence Late Fees are charged when an Applicant misses a deadline for submitting their Self Attestation Questionnaire and Evidence according to the Accreditation Program deliverables schedule.

Self Attestation Questionnaire and Evidence Late Fees are assessed each month at $1,500.00 per month. Please note: Late fees are cumulative.

$1,500 Four (4) months prior to Valid Until Date, additional fees will be charged monthly until the Accreditation is complete. Applicant has not submitted their Self Attestation Questionnaire and Evidence.

 

Questionnaire Issue Resolution Late Fee

After an Applicant submits their Self Attestation Questionnaire, DirectTrust will work to review it. During the course of the DirectTrust Review, we may identify incomplete or incorrect responses that will be brought to the attention of the Applicant so they can fix their response. If an Applicant cannot complete all of the corrections within a three month period Late Fees will be charged.

Questionnaire Issue Resolution Late Fees are assessed each month at $1,500.00 per month.

Level 1 Review Failure Fee

Level 1 Review Failure Fees are charged when an Applicant’s Self Attestation Questionnaire and or Evidence (response) is not in good order. A response is considered to be not in good order due to the following reasons:

One or more Criterion are not answered i.e. left blank when a response is expected

  • The rules for labeling Evidence and other artifacts as defined in the Accreditation Companion Guide are not followed
  • A Criteria Response is not relevant

The Accreditation Program Reviewer performs an initial review of the Response to determine if the Response is in good order. For those Responses that are found to not be in good order the Reviewer will provide an explanation for each Criterion that is found to be either missing or not in good order.

When an Applicant fails the Level 1 Review the Fee will be assessed at a rate of $200.00 per hour for the time that it takes to provide the explanation for the failure. Subsequent Responses will be evaluated, and a Level 1 Review Failure Fee will be charged every time the Response fails the Level 1 Review.

Accreditation Expiration Fee

Accreditation Expiration Fees are charged when an Applicant’s Accreditation expires.

Accreditation Expiration Fees are assessed each month at $1,500.00 per month. Please note: Fees are cumulative.

Late Fee Amount Timeline Description of Missed Deadline
$1,500 monthly Accreditation Expires – Applicant has not been responsive to emails, phone calls, or certified letters. In order to remain in the DirectTrust Trust Anchor Bundle(s), an Applicant’s Accreditation must be current and valid. If an Applicant Accreditation expires, at its sole discretion, the DirectTrust Accreditation Administrator may choose to grant a thirty (30) day grace period extension to the Applicant’s Accreditation status. The DirectTrust Board of Directors may also decide at its sole discretion to remove the Applicant’s Trust Anchors from any Trust Anchor Bundles they are in as soon as the Applicant’s Accreditation expires. Once an Applicant is removed from the Trust Bundle(s), the Applicant will start the Accreditation process over from the beginning including the submission of the Accreditation Fee and any accrued late fees in the amount of $1,500 per month.
